Brian is a main Board Director of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) and has been the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA) Chairman since 2009. The PRA represents the interests of the independently owned fuel retailers who account for 65% of all petrol filling stations.
He drives the Association’s wide-ranging policies through his representation of thousands of independent retailers to government and other key industry bodies. He regularly appears on TV with BBC, Sky and ITN all using his wide-ranging industry knowledge as does both national and regional BBC radio channels.
He is also Chairman of the Car Wash Association (CWA) which was originally established in 2007 by wash operators and industry suppliers and is now officially incorporated as part of the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA). It is a self-regulating industry body involved in the practice of setting quality and safety standards by promoting best practice and fair competition.
It comprises PRA members who operate a car wash business including automatic rollover or conveyor wash, jet washing facilities or regulated hand wash. Vehicle washing equipment operators and manufacturers are corporate members.
Brian was formally Managing Director of George Hammond PLC – a Top 50 indie forecourt operator.
